MILO's Story

Meet Milo (A562857) If there has ever been a dog who has known nothing but love, it is Milo. Born April 7, 2024, Milo was one of 11 puppies and was scooped up by his family the moment he was old enough. He has been cherished, doted on, and treated like family his entire life. Unfortunately, due to major life changes, Milo is now facing something completely new for him. Being without a family. It is no fault of his own, and it has been a big adjustment for this sweet boy. Milo is energetic, affectionate, and full of life. He absolutely loves being outside, especially when it involves walks and fresh air. He can be a little strong at times, but with training his leash manners have already improved a lot. He is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in everything you are doing and will happily follow you around like your shadow. If you enjoy kisses, constant companionship, and a dog who truly wants to be part of your world, Milo is your guy. He is playful and fun, loves toys, and will proudly bring them to you so you can see how awesome they are. Milo grew up with a teacup poodle and did great, and he has also lived around cats with no issues. He has been around children as young as eight and did wonderfully. Sometimes he forgets he is about 60 pounds when he gets excited, but he listens when corrected and settles quickly. Since he is still young, a slow feeder is recommended since he has not quite learned that inhaling meals is not ideal yet. Milo is the kind of dog who bonds deeply and loves hard. He may whine if he is away from his people for too long because being close to his humans is what he knows and loves most. This sweet, loyal boy is looking for a family who will give him the stability and affection he has always had and deserves again. If you are looking for a fun, loving, people obsessed companion who will fill your days with energy and your heart with love, Milo is ready to meet you Milo is guesstimated to be 1 year old and weighs 60 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative. Ready to meet Milo? All you have to do is stop by our shelter at 4950 Triana Blvd and head to our dog areas. You can find him in kennel D29. All adopters must be 19 years or older with a valid ID
