Milo

Milo is a male Havapoo (Havanese Poodle mix).He weighs 11 lbs and will be 2 yrs old in September. <br/><br/>It’s our understanding that after Milo’s owner passed away, a family member kept him chained in the basement where he was alone, sitting in his own feces and urine. He was extremely matted with eye, ear and skin infections. An angel who learned of his situation stepped in and offered to take Milo, saving him from this life of extreme neglect and abuse. Unfortunately Milo was attacked by their neighbor’s dogs. After that they felt they weren’t able to provide for his needs. That’s when they reached out and asked us to take him into the rescue.<br/><br/>We are happy to say Milo is on the road to good health and is loving life! He is looking forward to finding his forever home where he can live his best life.<br/><br/>Milo is up to date on vaccines and HW/flea/tick prevention. All of his bloodwork came back normal. He has healed from the infections and the injury to his neck from the dog attack. <br/><br/>Milo is scheduled for his neuter, dental cleaning and microchip on Thursday (5/14). <br/><br/>Milo is an absolute sweetheart! It’s remarkable, after all he’s been through, that he has built trust so quickly and is feeling safe in his foster home. <br/><br/>* He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home.<br/>* He loves to cuddle up close and get belly rubs!<br/>* He is not fully house-trained but has been doing good with his training. <br/>* He loves to play with toys and other dogs.<br/>* He has a lot of energy so he will need regular exercise and a securely fenced yard (required, no electric fences) where he can safely run and play. <br/>* Milo has been okay around cats and children.
