Milo's Story

Milo is a sweet, sensitive 3‑year‑old small‑breed mix who has made great progress in his foster home. He’s smart, loyal, and bonds deeply once he feels safe. Milo has one documented fear‑based grazing bite in his past, so he needs slow introductions and a calm, predictable environment. Our trainer has cleared him as adoptable, and he continues to thrive with structure and patience.

We’ve also learned that Milo feels much more comfortable with men. After a recent grooming session, we believe he may have experienced trauma with a woman earlier in life. While we can’t know his past for sure, he consistently relaxes faster and shows more confidence around a gentle, patient male presence.

A recent DNA test showed Milo is a unique blend of six small breeds, including Small Poodle, Cocker Spaniel, Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Shih Tzu, and Westie — a mix that explains his intelligence and sweet, spunky personality.

Ideal home:
A quiet, stable home with an experienced adopter — ideally male — and no young children. Milo is available for local adoption only so our team can support his transition.
