Milo's Story

Milo is one special senior, and thanks to a generous grant from the Grey Muzzle Organization, his adoption fee is completely waived! As an added bonus, his adopter will receive a full year’s supply of heartworm, flea, and tick prevention to help him stay happy and healthy in his golden years.

Although Milo’s adoption is sponsored, we welcome donations to help us continue providing second chances to deserving shelter pets like him. Your support makes all the difference!

Milo is a senior gentleman with cancer who’s hoping to spend his golden days surrounded by love. He’s currently in a wonderful foster home, but he’s ready to find a forever family willing to continue his end-of-life care and give him the peace and comfort he deserves.

Milo is the definition of a gentle giant. He knows his basics—sit, stay, down, and shake—and he’s very potty trained. He’s trustworthy enough to free-roam the house while you’re gone, and his foster mom shares that he has excellent manners. He loves looking out the window, soaking up the sunshine in the yard, and just enjoying life’s simple pleasures.

While he can be a little nervous with new people at first, Milo warms up quickly and shows his sweet, loyal heart. He would love an adult-only home with no other dogs, where he can be the center of attention and enjoy his days with calm, patient companionship.

Milo doesn’t need constant attention—he’s perfectly content to be independent when you need space—but he’ll always be there when you’re ready for quiet company and love. If you can open your heart and home to this special boy, Milo will fill your days with gratitude, gentle affection, and quiet joy.
