Milo's Story
Meet Milo
Name: Milo
Breed: Chihuahua
Age: 2 years
Sex: Neutered male
Weight: 4.6 kg
In care: 3 weeks

Let me introduce you to Milo.
He is 7 pounds of confidence, opinions, and devotion. A true Chihuahua in every sense. Strangers are suspicious. His person is royalty. And he considers it his full time job to guard both your lap and your honour.

Milo is young, neutered, and all of his vetting is complete. He is healthy, ready, and has a lot of life ahead of him. He has medium energy, loves to play, and then happily melts into your arms for a long cuddle session. He thrives on closeness. This is not a dog who wants to be “independent.” He wants to be involved.

He does not enjoy a crate and he does not enjoy being left alone. Milo will do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, or where he can tag along for daily adventures. If you are looking for a tiny sidekick who believes you are the centre of the universe, this is your guy.

He is house trained and uses a doggie door like a champ. He walks well on leash, mostly because he refuses to let you out of his sight. He is good with other dogs, though food should be managed thoughtfully. He can live with cats.

Milo does guard food and can be protective of his person, so he needs confident, kind leadership with clear boundaries. He should not live with children. He is spoiled. He knows he is small. He will absolutely try to run the show if you let him. But with structure and consistency, he is deeply loyal and incredibly loving.

He would prefer a securely fenced yard, especially since he is small enough to find the tiniest escape route. He does not require another dog. He does require attention.

And one more thing. At night, Milo likes his head covered while he sleeps in your bed. Yes, really. Diva energy, always.
If you are looking for a golden retriever personality, keep scrolling.
If you want a fierce protector in a tiny body who will love you like you hung the moon, Milo is ready for his throne.
⸻
💛 What’s included in your adoption fee?
At Myrtle Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, we’re committed to ethical rescue and lifelong support.
