Milo's Story
Meet Milo. Milo is a miniature Goldendoodle, born May 17, 2025, and weighs about 17 lbs. He came to us as an owner surrender.

Milo is an extremely sweet, gentle, and loving dog. Everyone who meets him says the same thing—he has a calm, comforting presence. Many have mentioned that he has the temperament of a therapy dog.

He is wonderful with other dogs. In his foster home, Milo has been playing with two dogs who had never allowed another dog into their space before. Milo showed them that playing together can be safe and fun—and now they happily do.

Milo gets a little nervous when he is alone in the house or in a room, but as soon as someone (human or dog) is nearby, he is completely relaxed and happy. Because of this, Milo requires a home with another playful dog.

One of Milo’s favorite things is to “steal” a blanket, shoe, or anything that smells like you and turn it into his new doggie bed. He also loves dragging dog beds to wherever you are—just in case there isn’t one nearby. Being close to his people is very important to him. Milo is completely toy-obsessed. If there’s a basket of toys, he will proudly take them out one by one until the floor looks like it’s been “decorated” by a toddler.

He is about 98% potty trained, with only an occasional accident. He eats well, enjoys playtime, and has the fun, playful energy this breed is known for.

Medically, Milo has a broken kneecap. After multiple X-rays and evaluations, our surgeon does not recommend surgery at this time, as Milo is not in pain and uses his leg normally. His body is young and puppies heal fast. However, Labradoodles can be fragile and clumsy due to their playful nature, so we are looking for a family who understands this and is willing to carry pet insurance in case this ever needs attention in the future.

Milo has also met an outdoor cat who typically runs from everyone. Milo was incredibly gentle—walking calmly around the cat, softly sniffing, and when his foster called him away, he listened immediately and continued on his walk. This makes us believe he has strong potential to be cat-friendly.

Milo’s ideal home:

A home with another playful dog (required)

A family who enjoys companionship and closeness

Someone prepared for the care of a young, playful breed

Willingness to carry pet insurance

Milo is a truly special little dog with a heart full of love. If you’re looking for a gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be close to you—and you already have a furry friend looking for a best buddy—Milo may be your perfect match 🤍

Please complete an adoption application on our website and follow the steps outlined in our adoption process.
