Milo's Story

Hi! My name is Milo! I'm a tricolor male beagle. I will be 3 years old on 9/18! So I'm a young guy full of energy! I love people & I love to play! I need a new home because my people are older & not able to care for me physically anymore. I'm a happy, affectionate boy! I'm also very energetic - as most young beagles are! I like to play tug-of-war & I like to chew on things! I like to hang out on the furniture with my people & snuggle with them! In terms of housetraining, I used to be on a schedule & was housetrained for the most part. But over the past year, my people weren't able to get me outside on a regular basis. And so they were using puppy pads. But Nittany Beagle Rescue thinks my new forever home will be able to get me back on track with housetraining fairly quickly. I'm crate trained. I'm used to being crated overnight & when no one was home. When you tell me to go to my bed, & I will go in my crate! I've been around children as young as 6 years & I'm good with them, although I will jump on them. I will run out the door, so I need a home where I can't do that. I've been around other dogs when they came to visit & I like to play with them! :) I've never been around cats. I weighted about 42 lbs. on my recent visit to the vet. I'm a little chunky & could lose a few pounds. I'm a super sweet, funny loving guy & I'm anxious to find my forever home! Are you it?? I'm up-to-date on vaccines & will be neutered before I'm adopted. Please think about making me part of your family! My photo is coming soon! Kennel License #4068

Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue dog & Nittany Beagle Rescue! We are a foster-home based rescue. We hold showings on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month at Lyons Kennels in Bellefonte, PA from 11am - 1pm. You can meet some of our dogs then! Please email or send a PM on our FB page if you want to know if a particular dog will be at the showing. If you are interested in a particular dog, or a type of dog, please submit an application to foster or adopt (it's the same application form). Once you have an approved application for a dog, we will connect you with the dog's foster parent. Typically the potential adopter & foster talk on the telephone first. Then if the dog seems like a good fit, we arrange a personal meet & greet.
