Milo's Story

Milo has been waiting patiently for someone who sees him for who he truly is-not just his challenges, but the incredible dog underneath them.
At almost 7 years old, Milo is everything people love about German Shepherds-loyal, intelligent, and incredibly devoted to his people. He has strong guardian instincts and takes his role seriously, which means he can be fearful of strangers and needs slow, thoughtful introductions to new people.
But here's the part we wish everyone could see: once you're in Milo's circle, you're family.
He absolutely loves spending time with the people he knows. Whether it's hanging out in the yard, relaxing together, or being surrounded by his favorite humans, Milo is happiest when he's with "his people." He's affectionate, goofy, and loves soaking up attention from those he trusts.
Milo would thrive in a quieter home with someone who understands shepherds and appreciates a dog who forms deep bonds rather than handing out affection to everyone he meets. He would make an incredible companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend who's always by their side.
When he's not keeping an eye on things, you'll find him chasing his giant purple ball, splashing around in the pool, or showing off his playful side.
While Milo can coexist with some dogs, he is very selective and would do best as the only dog in the home, where he can fully relax and enjoy all the attention for himself.
Milo has spent far too long waiting for his chance. He deserves someone who will look past his hesitation with strangers and discover the incredible dog underneath. Because once Milo loves you... he loves you with his whole heart.
