Millie Jane's Story

Introducing Miss Millie!

Millie is a beautiful girl! She appears to be a Beagle mix, about 3 years old and weighs 33 pounds. She is crate-rained and house-trained and perfectly well-mannered in the house.

Millie is a small, sweet girl with a gentle soul. She is very shy at first and can be unsure of new people and situations, but she has been making steady progress in foster care.

Millie would thrive with someone who understands that some dogs just need a little extra patience and time to feel safe. She does not need perfection, just a kind person willing to let her move at her own pace. Once she begins to trust you, watching her gain confidence is incredibly rewarding.

Because Millie is more comfortable with women, we believe she would do best in a home with at least one female caregiver. If there are men in the home, they should be calm, patient, and understanding of her shy nature. Having a friendly, patient, calm doggy friend is also needed to help her come out of her shell.

Because of her timid personality, she would be best in a home with a fully fenced yard, as she may need time to be comfortable on walks.

Millie may not be the dog who runs up to greet everyone right away, but for someone willing to earn her trust, she has so much love to give.

For more information on adopting sweet Millie, please email info@redcollar.org.
