Millie's Story

Millie 🩷

Millie is a 6-month-old, 35 lb coonhound mix with a personality as big as her floppy ears! She gets along wonderfully with all dogs and cats and is blissfully unaware that anyone could ever not like her—she assumes everyone is her best friend.

True to her hound roots, Millie loves to “chat.” Whether she’s happy, playing, or even a little displeased, she’s got something to say about it! She’s high-energy, incredibly food-motivated, and completely toy-obsessed. Her goofy, silly nature means she often finds herself in a bit of harmless mischief—but it’s all part of her charm.

In a twist of fate, Millie seems to have missed the memo on hunting—she once walked right past a opossum without a second glance! Instead, she’s taken notes from her Australian Shepherd housemates and decided she’s actually a herding dog.

Millie is both crate trained and house trained, and the one time she’s perfectly quiet is when she’s patiently waiting by the door to go outside. She knows a number of commands (especially if treats are involved), but without snacks, she’s a busy girl with places to be and toys to find.
Above all, Millie is incredibly sweet, loving, and full of joy. She would make a fantastic addition to an active family ready to embrace her energy, humor, and endless affection. Ready to meet your new best friend? Millie is waiting 💛
Adoption fee
Apply at www.allherdingbreeddogrescue.com
Follow us on #herdingdogrescueil
