Millie's Story
Millie is thirty pounds of sugar and is looking for a companion. Nothing I write will capture how perfect Millie is. Millie’s ideal day starts with sleeping in. This girl hates waking up early and will snooze the alarm, sometimes even staying in bed while the rest of the house is up. Once she crawls out of bed, she does the cutest little stretch before moseying over to say good morning with a tail wag. She then enjoys curling up on the couch and taking a nap during coffee time. Eventually, she will go to her kennel and patiently lie down while waiting for breakfast to be served. The rest of the day is filled with naps and rotations from the couch to sunbathing outside.

Millie was found living in an abandoned building and she’s had enough of concrete, she always searches for a soft place to lay. She loves a good treat to chew on. Millie be happy if you take her for a walk or a car ride, but she doesn’t require these activities, as she is perfectly content hanging out at home. At some point in the day, she will find her way onto your lap and look longingly into your eyes trying to convey how much she loves you. At night, she’ll sleep wherever you put her without objection, though she would prefer to be on the bed.

Millie has been the perfect house guest and has been the easiest foster dog to integrate into her foster family. Millie is a very quiet dog, very rarely barking or whining. She is not destructive. She is house trained and crate trained. She is well behaved in the car. Millie is low maintenance. She love treats and takes them gently. Millie has been great with all kinds of dogs: male, female, puppy, rambunctious teenager and an old grandpa. Millie does well at the dog park. She shares well with other dogs in the house - food and toys. Millie is very grateful to have been rescued and says thank you every day by looking at you like you are the best thing in the world. She deserves to be spoiled, but asks for nothing. Millie loves to be in your presence, but is not needy or dramatic. She loves love, but is not clingy. Millie is the best cuddle buddy! She likes to be curled up next to her companion, but she does not demand pets. When you hug her, she will attempt to hug you back by wrapping her long neck around you. When Millie is happy, she does the cutest little closed mouth smile with squinty eyes.
