Milly is an 8-year-old Chihuahua with a heart full of love, just waiting to be unlocked. This little lady came into our care after the heartbreaking passing of her beloved owner. While she's been through a lot of change recently, we're dedicated to finding her the perfect, loving home she deserves.<br/><br/>In her previous life, Milly enjoyed the company of other small dogs, mostly Chihuahuas just like herself! She’s also good with cats. She's comfortable around canine companions her size, however, she didn’t receive much socialization outside her immediate pack and lacks experience in areas like leash walking. Since coming into care Milly has learned that peeing outside isn’t so bad so she is now house trained.<br/><br/>Since joining our rescue Milly has been making strides adapting to wearing a harness and experiencing the simple pleasures of a walk, like sniffing the fresh grass beneath her little paws.<br/><br/>Milly is searching for a special home, one with someone who understands the unique charm and quirks of the Chihuahua breed. She is best suited in a home with a single person or a quiet couple who can provide her with the individual attention and unwavering love she craves. Milly bonds deeply with her person and will be a loyal and affectionate companion. She is not suited for a busy home with children.<br/><br/>It's important to remember that losing her owner has left Milly feeling scared and unsure. She needs a patient and understanding owner who will allow her the time and space to adjust to her new surroundings.
