Miller's Story

to adopt or ask questions:
https://dogs2ndchance.org/

It's Miller Time and he's bringing the party! While he may like to sleep late, he definitely brings the energy once he's up! Miller is a very people-oriented dog, outgoing and enthusiastic! (Enthusiastic is code for energetic) He loves to go for walks, fetch a ball and chase frisbees even though his catch ratio is sub par. Miller's been bunking with a couple trainers for a while now, and has learned some fancy obedience along with all the very important manners that energetic dogs need to master. He's a sucker for strangers and will hop in any free ice cream van he sees, so we keep him on a leash for his own protection. While he is crate trained, he has also mastered the "pound puppy" look and will easily sucker you into letting him beg for food at dinner time, share a bag of popcorn on the couch, and guilt you into a walk regardless of the weather.

With all that "GO" he does have some slow. He can go from a long hike to a Netflix & chill in 2 seconds with the right accommodations. His heat tolerance is low, but he still requires an adequate blanket mountain in his crate. He likes to relocate his blanket mountain to wherever you are, we just keep putting them back him his crate- he's pretty pleased with how our training has come along. He's full of opinions and likes to voice them- which can put some people off a bit, but it's all just a conversation and you MUST THROW THE TOY.

Miller would love an outgoing human who can keep him active, and we would love to see that human make him mind his manners. We worked hard for those manners! Miller has been such a fun dog to have here with us, and we dream of the day he gets a family to call his own. His personality cannot be captured in words. He's joyful, energetic, intelligent and such a great companion.

Thank you for considering adopting a new family member.

Memphis area adoption fee is
$250

All dogs are spayed or neutered {unless medical issues prohibit the surgery}, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested {if old enough} and treated if necessary.
