Milkmaid's Story

?? MOMMAS NEED HOMES TOO ??

Milkmaid came to us from Detroit Animal Control where she was found as a very pregnant & skinny stray. She has her puppies the night she was found and was at animal control for 3 weeks before we took her and her babies into our rescue. All of her puppies are about 10 weeks old now and starting to find their own homes, but we know sweet Milkmaid is so deserving of a furever place to call home too.

? Approximately 2-3YR, pibble mix about 60lbs.
? The SWEETEST, wiggliest butt you’ll ever meet — but, can be nervous and a little shy when first meeting you.
? Milkmaid would do fine in a home as an only dog OR with another calm, gentle dog or kitty. She is more afraid of any other animals than they are of her and needs a “support human” and slow introductions until she’s used new friends. ?
? Fenced yard preferred, but not required. No apartments/rented homes sadly due to her breed unless you have a signed/dated letter from your landlord/apartment company stating they allow large pitbull mixes.
? Milkmaid ALSO is heartbreakingly heartworm positive from not being kept on prevention prior to us getting her. Her treatment is covered by our rescue as part of her adoption, but will need to be completed at VCA Allen Park Animal Hospital.

Want to apply? Applications can be found on our website under the “adopt” tab.

Questions? Please message the rescue directly. ??????
