The kind who settles beautifully into the rhythm of a home and seems genuinely happy just to be included in your life.<br/><br/>And knowing where she came from makes that somehow even more remarkable.<br/><br/>This little girl has survived the unimaginable.<br/><br/>Miley was living with her sister, Kiley, in a safe-housing apartment near Skid Row in Los Angeles. <br/><br/>Their owner was struggling with severe addiction and mental illness, and the conditions inside the apartment had deteriorated so badly that it was ultimately closed off and considered a biohazard.<br/><br/>That was the environment these two little dogs were living in.<br/><br/>Filth. Neglect. Chaos.<br/><br/>Miley and Kiley were never even walked.<br/><br/>We call her Miley Mouse because she is so unbelievably quiet, you sometimes forget she's there. <br/><br/>She moves through the house like a tiny little mouse, finds a cozy spot, curls herself into the most perfect little ball, and quietly watches the world around her.<br/><br/>And then she looks at you with those eyes.<br/><br/>Miley has soul eyes.<br/><br/>Deep, soft, beautiful eyes that seem to look straight into you. There is something incredibly tender about this little girl.<br/><br/>Miley is the definition of a Velcro dog, but in the loveliest, gentlest way. If you're working from home, she is perfectly content to curl up beside you, snuggle in close, and quietly keep you company.<br/><br/>Miley is truly wonderful with everyone. <br/><br/>She has been tested with dogs AND cats and is fantastic with both. She's also wonderful with children — incredibly gentle, sweet, and easygoing.<br/><br/>But here's something important about Miley:<br/><br/>She LOVES other dogs.<br/><br/>This quiet little mouse absolutely comes alive when it's time to play. <br/><br/>She engages other dogs often and genuinely loves having a canine friend to romp around with. We would love to see her in a home where she can continue having that companionship and playtime.<br/><br/>She also loves a ball, although she is still working out the finer details of this thing humans call "fetch." Chasing it? Absolutely. Bringing it back? We're still negotiating.<br/><br/>And she is ridiculously adorable.<br/><br/>Miley has the most precious freckles, a beautiful little face that's half tan and half white, and tiny white booties on her feet.
