Miley – The Happy-Go-Lucky Companion You’ve Been Waiting For! Meet Miley, a joyful young girl with a heart as big as her smile! At just around 8 months old, this mixed-breed beauty already has great manners and a whole lot of love to give. Miley recently got all her vaccinations and has been spayed, so she’s ready for her forever family! She weighs in at 39 pounds—a perfect medium size for adventures, cuddles, and everything in between. She’s house-trained and crate-trained, and does wonderfully spending the workday (about 8½ hours) in her crate without any trouble. When you’re home, she’s eager to be part of the action and may bark to remind you she’s ready for attention or playtime. Miley is great with other dogs and loves kids, though she’s a bit of a bouncy bundle of energy—so she’d do best in a home without very young children or babies. She hasn’t met cats or other animals yet, but she’s shown no signs of aggression at all—just pure excitement and affection! This girl loves the outdoors, whether she’s running, playing, or just exploring the yard—though she’ll gladly skip rainy days in favor of a cozy nap inside. Miley is the perfect match for an active home that can give her time, training, and love. In return, she’ll shower you with loyalty, laughter, and endless tail wags. GreenePets Foster Network, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

Known Adoption Policies of GreenePets Application & Background Check Prospective adopters must complete an adoption application. GreenePets runs background checks on all applicants. The application is shared with board members and foster homes (with confidentiality). Application Deposit At the time of application, a deposit (“donation”) of at least $50 is required. greenepets.org If the adopter is not selected, the deposit is returned (within 14 days). greenepets.org The deposit is applied toward the adoption fee if the adoption proceeds. greenepets.org Adoption Fee / Donation The adoption fees vary depending on the animal and the services rendered for that animal. The minimum adoption fee is listed at $250 (to cover vetting, boarding, and incidentals). In some cases, especially for their “working dogs” (e.g., police, service training), fees can go higher (up to $5,000). Home / Lifestyle Requirements Adopters must provide a veterinary reference. A fenced yard is required. They also sometimes require a home study (onsite inspection) when needed. They generally do not adopt to people in apartments or condos. If renting, the applicant must provide written permission from the landlord to have the animal. greenepets.org Contract, Conditions & Ownership Adopted pets must be relinquished back to GreenePets if the adopter’s lifestyle changes and they can no longer keep the pet. The adopter signs an adoption contract and a release/waiver of liability. GreenePets reserves the right to check on the welfare of the adopted animal on the adopter’s premises. They also retain the right to reclaim possession of the animal (without payment) if the terms of the contract are violated. greenepets.org Medical Check / Health Requirements The adopter must take the pet to a veterinarian within the first five (5) working days of adoption for a health check. Adopters must be willing and able to afford necessary medical care. Other Notes / Restrictions GreenePets may adopt out of state (i.e., outside Tennessee). The adoption process can be slow due to limited staff. GreenePets reserves the right to decline any adoption application.
