Miles's Story
Miles is a super sweet, affectionate boy who is estimated to be around 2-3 years old. Nicknamed “Mr. Wigglebutt” by his foster family, he is full of excitement and energy. He greets every person and dog like they’re best friends with full body tail wags and lots of kisses. Some of his favorite things include walks, cuddling on the couch, food, belly rubs, and engaging toys (heavy duty chews, snuffle mats, food puzzles, or bones!). Now safe with his foster family, he is finally getting a glimpse of what home feels and is absolutely thriving in the comfort and structure of his foster home!

Miles gets along great with his foster’s resident female dog. He would do well in a home with another, confident dog who isn't intimidated by rough play and who can help him adjust some doggy manners. He can get overly-excited with new adventures and people, which may be too much for some people, small or anxious dogs, cats, or small children. A home with another dog could be a great fit, but he would also do well as the only pet so he could soak up all the attention for himself!

Overall, Miles is already very well trained! He knows most commands, has great recall, and is crate trained. We just need to keep working on fine tuning for when there are distractions! He walks well on a leash however, he can become very excited when he sees other dogs or people and may pull in attempts to say hello. With that pitty strength, Miles would benefit from an experienced adopter who can continue helping him learn appropriate responses on walks and continue his training. He responds well to verbal correction, clicker training, and treats- he is very food motivated. We are confident he would thrive in a home that can offer consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement as he has made such great progress with his foster in a short amount of time.
He has waited patiently for his chance, and how he’s ready to give his whole heart to the family who chooses him. If you’re ready to continue his journey and give him the forever he’s been waiting for, Miles is ready to meet you!
