Mike's Story
Only applications for adoption in Durham Region will be considered. Any out of area applications will be disregarded. Please see our website for information on our adoption process. Please note that all questions on the application must be answered fully in order to be considered.

Meet Mike, an 8–10 week old Northern mix (Shepherd/Husky) ready to find his forever home. This handsome, medium-energy pup is full of personality and charm, with just the right balance of playfulness and snuggles.

Mike does well with other dogs, while his compatibility with cats and children is currently untested. At this young age, he is highly adaptable and eager to learn. He is confident and goofy, but also deeply affectionate — he loves being close to his person and would happily consider himself a lap dog whenever possible.

Like any young puppy, Mike is still learning. He is not yet house-trained but is actively working on it. He can be a little nervous during car rides and will benefit from gentle exposure and positive reinforcement to help build his confidence. True to his puppy nature, he enjoys chewing sticks and has been known to “help” clean up by stealing paper towels whenever he gets the chance.

Mike would thrive in a patient, loving home committed to teaching him the foundations of being a well-mannered dog. With guidance, structure, and consistency, he will grow into a loyal and devoted companion.

If you are ready to welcome this sweet, snuggly boy into your family, please send us a message or complete an application today.

Mike has been seen by our veterinarian, is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and follows TAGS’ harm-free flea and tick strategies. He will receive all final age-appropriate vaccines prior to final adoption. For the full list, please visit: animalguardian.org

All TAGS adoptions include nine weeks of Behaviour Training Classes to help set both puppy and family up for success.

If interested, please complete our application form found at https://animalguardian.org/how-to-help/adopting-a-rescue/adoption-applications/. Applications other than the TAGS form will not be considered.
