She is good with people, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes. Mika has a good temperament and lots of love to give. She has a rough start in life. However, she still trusts and loves every human she meets. Mika is doing well in her foster home and ready for her forever home. Mika started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining. She rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands. Mika is a good girl and will be a good family dog.

Mika’s Rescue Story

Mika was abandoned and found her way into a school. Not every student is fond of dogs so the school cannot let her stay. She was caught by a volunteer of a TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) rescue group. TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs. TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals. Poor girl cannot go back to school. She didn’t have a place to go. The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with her. The founder of the rescue organization has over 160 dogs waiting for homes. She really does not have space for another dog. However, she could not bear to see Mika homeless and suffer on the streets. She agreed to take her home and give her a chance in life.

Mika had a thorough medical checkup. She had been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests. Please give Mika a loving home where she will never be left behind again.

Please watch Mika’s YouTube videos below:

https://youtu.be/7g-qT1B6EV0 - Mika chewing bones
https://youtu.be/hlhPpP3Ot38 - Mika chewing bones
https://youtu.be/UUW_6oO_lQk - Mika no food aggression
https://youtu.be/rnSNgVunh-s - Mika no food aggression
https://youtu.be/0x3Ow6jNy8Y - Mika with cats
https://youtu.be/mq1fqgMkEoU - Mika good with dogs
https://youtu.be/HK1NmB063hc - Mika at Doggie Park
https://youtu.be/j58n-MTmxeA - Mika with children
https://youtu.be/10fhHLbTBYc - Mika good with children
https://youtu.be/9ocYF1O-u0Q - Mika with Volunteers
https://youtu.be/l4ZY6LqvLXs - Mika good with people
https://youtu.be/ar-wThcpkOg - Mika & Timmy walking
https://youtu.be/p_4bP60taaM - Mika playing with dogs
https://youtu.be/MpXsRKR26HI - Mika at airport
https://youtu.be/ZRQxw-DPfU0 - Mika Vet Checkup

If you would like to give MIKA a forever home, please go to www.adoptadoggie.org to fill out an online application with your home photos.
You can also email your home environment photos to contact@adoptadoggie.org
Once we receive your application, we will get back to you ASAP.

Adopt a Doggie Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Adopt-a-Doggie/312107112299799

Temperament:
Energy Level: Medium
Ideal home environment: Both Quiet & Active
Is the dog good with strangers: Friendly, a little shy
The dog is best with children of what age group?
