MIKA - Adopted!

This little 12 lb, 2 yr old, Malti Poo (no, he's not a Bichon!!) was hit by the owners car, he had serious injuries and she brought him to the shelter to be euthanized. One of our volunteers was at the shelter and quickly scooped him up and brought him to our vet. Mika had a herniated diaphram, a broken hip and lacerations. The poor baby just layed there, so lifeless.....but he was a fighter. Our vet fixed him up and did two major surgeries....Mika is strong and back to his old self!! He does favor one of his legs, but he gets around great. He is a little on the needy side...he wants to be with his human and loves to play with other dogs. It would be great if you work from home or can take him with you...but please also have another doggie who can be his friend!! Mika is very smart and he was housetrained before all the changes in his life...and he will be again with your help! He does bark to let you know that strangers are coming...but he is one of the friendliest dogs ever. He does not, however, like cats...just a bit tooooo interested!! He is a kissy face who just wants to be loved...and get tons and tons of attention. This is a fantastic dog and would be great in a family with kids over 10 yrs old. Our website is updated daily. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!
