My foster parents call me Midge because they weren’t really sure how to pronounce “Miji” and I told them I wanted a fresh start. The beginning of my life was a little “ruff”— first as a stray, then being surrendered to the shelter by my previous owner and ending up on the euthanasia list. It came down to the wire, but I am so thankful to have been saved by Unbreakabull and have been making the most of every day since! As you can see from my photos, I have a smile that can light up any room.<br/><br/>My absolute FAVORITE thing in the world is cuddling — I love hanging out with my people and being affectionate! Petting in any shape or form works for me (you can even touch my paws, I don’t mind at all!). If you stop petting me, I might remind you with a nose nudge, kiss, or gentle paw slap. Not to brag, but I can make absolute strangers fall in love with me, and I bring my loose, wiggly body wherever I go. I enjoy chewing on toys and bones occasionally, but if I had to choose, cuddling would be my full-time job. Oh, and did I mention I’m a proud member of the itty bitty pittie club at around 40 pounds? So I’m basically a lap dog!<br/><br/>I also really love treats…people say I am very food-motivated and eager to please which makes me a quick learner (and I love learning new things!) I take treats with a gentle mouth and already know tricks like sit, stay, shake, crate, and drop it. I’m working on loose leash walking, not jumping on people when I get too excited, as well as muzzle training so I can be ready for any adventure! I love car rides and obviously would love to go anywhere you’re going.<br/><br/>I need to be the only dog in my future home, but I promise I’m all you’ll ever need! I’ve had some tough experiences with other dogs in the past, and honestly, people are way more fun. In my foster home, I’m fully separated from their dogs, but I don’t mind sharing a roof with them. Sometimes, I get excited when I see other dogs on walks, but I’m easily redirected. The humans say I have a ‘high prey drive’ when it comes to small animals and cats, so it’s best I go to a home without them<br/><br/>I’m housebroken, crate trained, and have been told (daily) that I’m an absolute sweetheart! After my walk, I’m a pretty chill girl content to nap on the couch or on my favorite dog bed. Very demure, very mindful. <br/><br/>If it were up to me, I’d love a fenced-in yard, but it’s not a requirement! More than anything, I just want a family who will love me as much as I love them and is committed to keeping me safe and away from other dogs. If you’re looking for endless snuggles and a forever little spoon with a velvet head, I’d love to meet you! I’m truly a once-in-a-lifetime dog! ?<br/><br/>P.S.
