Midge's Story

Name: Midge
Breed: Chihuahua / Terrier Mix
Sex: Spayed Female
Age: 12 years
Weight: 6 lbs
Animal Number: 4419

Sweet, Spunky, Cuddly, Lovable - Has Medical Needs

Good with dogs? Yes, she lives with two other dogs, one medium sized and one larger, and will snuggle with them. She is fine with all the dogs she meets while out on walks.

Good with cats? Not Tested in foster care, but reportedly she’s lived with cats and even chickens and been fine.

Good with kids? She is a little nervous with any new person she meets but warms up and allows petting.

Energy level: Low to Medium. She likes to take short walks, play with stuffy toys, and gets little bursts of energy when she plays with other dogs. Mostly, she likes to cuddle on the couch with her people.

Medical needs: Midge has had four seizures in her life. One was very brief and occurred during a recent, stressful vet visit; the other three occurred years ago. She is not taking any medications for possible seizures, but her adopter should be aware that she may need medication in the future. Midge does have a drooping membrane in her trachea, which is not serious. She takes medication for coughing and needs for her leash to be attached to a harness, not a collar around her neck. She is also missing most of her teeth and has only five left.

Animal Characteristics: Midge is a sweet, spunky, cuddly senior pup who loves companionship. She’s so cute and happy to see her people when they get home! She’ll hop up and down on her back legs. She’s a little nervous when she meets new people but warms up since she loves attention. She is potty trained, does not need to be in a crate since she roams freely and peacefully, and only barks if other dogs are barking or a new visitor comes to the door. Midge is an adorable, lovable little sweetheart who is ready for her forever home!

Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process.
