Midas (TX)'s Story

Midas is a 10 year old Coonhound mix waiting in the Dallas area for a new home. He was adopted as a young adult and is being returned because he is very uncomfortable with the noise and activity of the household's toddlers. He would be best with a family with older children (7 years of age or older) who understand when a dog wants to be left alone. Midas would also be happiest as a solo dog; NO cats, please. He is reliably housetrained and has free run of the house when left alone. Midas does know how to walk on a leash, but he likes to pull some in areas that he knows. His personality is best described as an old man that wants to just lay around and be lazy by himself all day, unless the blinds are open and he can look for other dogs and people walking past the house. He loves to cuddle on a couch or bed with a person and a blanket. He gets extremely excited about car rides. In good weight at 68 lbs, Midas does like to bark at other dogs or people walking by the house, or when he is playing.
