Micki -good girl!'s Story

Micki is a wonderful dog who loves people. She has done well with kids in the past, but does not live with any children at this time. She does live with cats and does well with them. Micki can be very reactive/aggressive towards other dogs, and has gone through some training to help with that issue, but needs to be an only dog in a home. Micki needs to be placed in a home with people who have experience working with dogs who are reactive to other dogs. She must be on a leash or in a secure fenced yard when outside. Micki was born in 2011 and being a senior gal she does have some urinary incontinence now which is controlled with medications Proin and Incurin.

Micki has been through several basic obedience classes, as well as some specialty classes to help her with impulse control. She is very treat-motivated and eager to please. Some of the commands she knows include "sit", "down", "stay", "come" and "place". She walks with a gentle leader, but is still working on heeling nicely.

One of Micki's most favorite activity is to play fetch, and she would play it all day long if she could. She is extremely athletic and very focused on the ball. Micki likes to go swimming, especially if it includes fetching a stick. She also likes to play with toys, but gets a little too excited at the sound of anything that squeaks. While in the house, Micki is very well-behaved and is just happy to be with her people. She also loves to go on car rides and is a great co-pilot.

MICKI NEEDS AN EXPERIENCED DOG PERSON AND FENCED-IN YARD/NEVER OFF LEASH.
