Meet Mickey!

37 pounds of personality, energy, and love!

Mickey is a healthy, happy 3-year-old pit bull mix in a fun-size package! This affectionate, goofy boy is always ready for an adventure. Looking for a walking or jogging buddy? Mickey might be your guy!

Mickey is a high-energy dog who thrives with regular exercise, playtime, and structure. But once he's burned off that energy, he's perfectly happy to become your favorite couch potato!

He's smart, highly treat-motivated, and already knows basic commands. He's also crate-trained and house-trained. Mickey is eager to learn and would thrive with someone committed to continuing his training.

Mickey does well with many dogs but can be dog selective, so slow, thoughtful introductions with resident dogs are important.

Because younger children can overwhelm him, he's looking for a home with kids ages 12 and older.

Mickey is currently living in a foster home, where he's learning and enjoying the comforts of family life. We do not adopt out of the state of Illinois. Mickey is being fostered in a private home. Appointments to meet him will be set up for approved adopters only. His adoption fee is $300 which includes all age-appropriate vaccines. He is neutered, microchipped and Heartworm negative.
