Mick's Story
Hi my name is Mick. I am about a year old shar pei mix weighing in about 40lbs. I have not had a good upbringing. I was found on the side of the road eating deer carcass at a young age. I came up to my foster home when I was about 7 months old. I am a great protector. I am housetrained. I am working hard on crate training and ever since my bed and blanket have been put into the crate, I sleep in it all night with the door still open. I am working hard on leash training since I do pull a lot.

Things that I love? Playing with my foster brother, sitting next to the heat, sticking my tongue out, my fenced in backyard to get out some of my puppy energy (although not neccessary), and food. I am very food motivated which is making training come pretty easy. I am super smart and adorable.

I am looking for a very patient adopter who understands that it takes some time to trust humans. Once I warm up to you, I will be your best buddy! I need someone who is willing to continue all the things I am learning from my trainer. I also need a home with no young kids please. They make me nervous. Older kids that respect my space are ok. I would also love an active family. I can be with other dogs but need very slow introductions to them.

Are you the patient, loving family I am looking for?
