Mia's Story

Hi, my name is Mia as in Heterochro-Mia (I have one blue and one brown eye and yes, my foster brother is kind of clever that way) my foster mom thinks that I’m the most beautiful dog she has ever seen (I think she’s biased but who am I to argue with her). I’m about four years old and my family thinks I'm part German shepherd and part sighthound, possibly greyhound) because I love to chase anything that’s small and fast.

I love my people but I don’t insist on being all over them, I like to sit nearby and watch life going on around me. I’m a bit careful around new people until I get to know them better. It takes me a little bit to trust them but if they’re nice to me, I’ll love them in no time.

I met my foster family when I was hiding in their garage during a thunder storm (I really don’t like thunder storms!) I got there by jumping over their 4-foot fence. That’s really easy for me, I’m quite athletic. That’s why my foster family thinks my new home should have a tall, sturdy fence, spoilsports that they are...

I don’t talk much; you’ll hardly ever hear me bark. And I don’t chew on furniture or potty in the house. I do get really excited when I get to go for my walk and if I see something that catches my attention, I'm known to pull on the leash. I’m working on that but it would probably best if my new family had some experience with walking dogs.

Our adoption fee is a $250.00 donation to Pup Squad Animal Rescue. Our adopted dogs are all spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. If you are interested in adoption, please go to www.pupsquad.org/adopt to read more about our policies and find our application. Applications should be submitted via the online form http://pupsquad.org/adopt/adoption-application.html.

Thank you for choosing to rescue an animal in need!
www.pupsquad.org
