Mia's Story
Meet Mia — the gentle 1.5 year-old shepherd mama of our “T” litter puppies!

Mia is a sweet but shy dog who takes time to warm up to new people. Once comfortable, she is very affectionate and bonds closely with adults. She loves giving “hugs”.

She follows basic commands and is house-trained. She enjoys lounging on the couch, spending time outside, and does very well with other dogs, often barking gently to initiate play. She loves having a playmate! She would also do best in an adult-only home without children.

She does great in the yard, takes her time coming when called, and is learning at her own sweet pace. With patience and love, she's going to blossom beautifully. She walks nicely on a leash, is a good meal eater, completely potty trained, will sit when asked most usually and allows me to wipe off her paws when she comes inside.

Mia is looking for a quiet home with a well balanced dog for companionship. She is skiddish of loud sounds and quick moves. She will run to another room when she hears them. We are working on building trust and confidence. Mia wants to be your favorite. She loves getting love. She will approach you for attention and enjoys ear and belly rubs. She sleeps on the bed at night, preferably with a pillow.

If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt
