Mia's Story
Mia is a 4-year-old, 13 pound Havanese who became homeless when her owner was placed into long term care.

Mia is a very gentle kind soul who brings sweetness to a new level. She was quite frightened when she first arrived at her foster home but has been coming out of her shell more and more each day. She was unsure when meeting another foster dog in the home but by the evening she was cleaning his ears.

She enjoys walks and snuggles. She will need more leash training as she has a tendency to pull. Now that she is comfortable with the other dogs, she tries to engage in play with them. She is very calm when meeting new people, warming up to them quite quickly. Mia needs ongoing support with her housetraining but has improved quite a bit in the last month.

Mia can do stairs and rides well in the car.

She does cry initially when left alone in the company of the other two dogs in the home but does settle down quickly.

She has not been tested with cats.

She is spayed, up to date with her shots and has had a recent dentistry including 7 extractions

If you think Mia is the dog for you, please fill in an application for our review.
