Mia English Bulldog & Boxer Mix Blaine, MN

Mia is a smaller gal (don’t let her beefy appearance fool you lol) who is around 7 years old. Mia came to rescue after her family added a new puppy to the home and Mia was not a fan of the puppy’s energy/personality and they were not getting along. Sadly for Mia this meant that she lost the only home she had known for her entire life, which as you can imagine was a huge change for her.

Since joining rescue she has done well with other balanced dogs who have calm energy. She does not do well with dogs who are overly excitable or who do not have balanced energy. She could possibly live with another dog but would be also be very happy as your one and only.

Mia has some anxiety (who wouldn’t after losing your home & humans) and takes an inexpensive daily medication to help her feel her best. In her previous home Mia was never crate trained or needed to use a crate. We have found that she has some confinement anxiety / stress and she does not do well in crates or kennel runs. She will need to go to a home where she does not need to use a crate. She does completely fine being left out and is completely potty trained and not destructive at all.

Mia is a sensitive gal and too much excitement / really busy environments are not her favorite. She does ok on a leash but does need some extra guidance from her humans in certain environments. Mia is incredibly sweet, happy, goofy, makes the cutest noises, and is very eager to please. She loves all humans, sunbathing, naps, food, and snuggles. Mia is looking for a low key home where she can live a low key life with her people. She has been through way too many changes in the last year and is looking for a home who understands her needs and will give her plenty of time to settle in.
