Mia's Story

Meet Mia!

Mia's journey started off tough. She spent months roaming Moss Landing as a scared stray before being rescued and brought into Hitchcock Road Animal Services. Now, safe and loved in her foster home, Mia is ready to find her forever family, and she comes with all the love you could ever ask for.

This sweet girl's number one talent? Cuddling. Lap, bed, couch, or even under a pile of blankets, Mia wants to be as close to you as humanly possible. Can't cuddle right now? Don't worry she'll happily follow you around like your tiny, furry shadow, making sure she never misses a single moment with you. Her big, expressive ears tell you exactly what she's feeling, and her quirky little grin when you come home is her personal way of saying, "I'm so happy you're here!"

Mia isn't all snuggles, though, she has a playful streak, too. Squeaky toys beware: she'll pounce, squeak, and show off her mischievous side... but don't worry, she'll always come back for cuddles afterward. She's smart, gentle, and affectionate, the perfect mix of calm and silly.

Her ideal home would be with adult adopters, or families with dog-savvy kids over 12 who can let her go at her own pace. She could thrive with another dog of similar size and temperament and might even get along with a cat-savvy feline in the home, though introductions should be slow.

** This pet is a Foster-to-Adopt candidate!

That means you can foster them for a short trial period to make sure they're the perfect match for your home before finalizing the adoption. If you're interested, please complete both a foster application and an adoption application so we can get the process started. **

Mia is currently in a loving foster home. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been submitted and approved by AFRP staff. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org to fill one out today!
