Merlot (Neutered) (In Foster to Adopt)

Merlot is a handsome 2-year old male Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on February 23, 2026 by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden after he was picked up on Bosner Road in the Lowell Ohio area. Merlot was wearing a jacket/harness but, unfortunately, there was neither an id tag nor a dog tag on his harness ... And he was not microchipped.<br/><br/>Merlot has a tan short-haired coat with white markings on his chest/paws, a long tail, and an adorable tan face with with hopeful trusting eyes, a white stripe on his forehead, a white muzzle, a liver-colored nose, and semi-erect ears.<br/><br/>This sweet boy has a friendly disposition and loves attention.<br/><br/>Merlot weighed 43 lbs when he entered our shelter.<br/><br/>Since he was not reclaimed, Merlot went home with a foster family on March 3rd 2026 who plans to adopt him after he is neutered.<br/><br/>Update: Merlot was neutered on March 23, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine.<br/><br/>Merlot was officially adopted by his foster family later that day.
