Merlin's Story
Meet Merlin!!!

Merlin is a 1-year-old, large and handsome guy weighing in around 65 lbs. He came to us from another shelter, so we don’t know much about his life before arriving here. Since being with us, Merlin has shown himself to be a social and outgoing dog who enjoys interacting with both people and other pups. He loves plush squeaky toys and is highly treat motivated, which could be a wonderful tool for continued training and bonding with his future family.

Merlin is an energetic young dog who will thrive in an active home that can provide him with plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment. He’s still very much in his adolescent stage and would benefit from ongoing training and consistent structure to help him become the best version of himself. We recommend that all household members meet Merlin prior to adoption to ensure a good fit, as his size and enthusiasm may be a lot for some homes. With guidance and outlets for his energy, Merlin has great potential to grow into a well-rounded companion.

Here at the shelter, Merlin has done well meeting other dogs and tends to approach them with enthusiastic energy. With a gradual introduction and a thoughtful separation plan, he may be able to live with another dog after a successful meet-and-greet. Overall, Merlin is a big, friendly, young dog looking for a committed home ready to invest in training, socialization, and lots of playtime.

He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives.
If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.
