Merle's Story
Merle is a 4-year-old HSW alumni who once had a loving home and a life as a farm dog. Through no fault of his own, he's back with us after his owner moved into assisted living. He was deeply loved and is ready for his next forever chapter.

Merle thrives in country life-space to roam, fresh air to sniff, and a job (or at least supervising one). He's a steady, loyal companion who appreciates routine and room to stretch his legs.

Merle has an old ACL injury in his right rear leg that doesn't slow him down. While it looks a little different, he gets around great and stays active. He has a custom brace to wear during play to help protect it.

If you have land or simply a heart for a devoted, good-natured farm dog, Merle may be your perfect match.
