Hi, I'm Mercury, an American Staffordshire Terrier/pit bull mix with a gentle heart that's still learning to shine.<br/><br/>I'm a sweet, affectionate boy who was a little shy when I first arrived, but I'm coming out of my shell more every day. I love people and enjoy spending time with them, though I can be timid and appreciate a patient, understanding approach while I build confidence.<br/><br/>I came in with several other dogs and have a special bond with my best buddy, Cosmo. We play well together, match each other's energy, and make a wonderful pair. While I do great with Cosmo, I can be selective with other dogs, so slow, thoughtful introductions are recommended.<br/><br/>I'm also a big fan of toys, especially my favorite red ball! I can be a little protective of my toys, so it's something my future family should be aware of and help me manage. Treats are another favorite (I never say no to biscuits!), and they're a great way to help me learn new things. I'm also working on my potty training, and with patience and consistency, I should be a pro in no time. <br/><br/>If you're looking for a gentle giant with a kind soul, a playful side, and lots of love to give, I just might be your perfect match.
