Melvin and Milton's Story
Hello there! My name is Melvin and my good buddy Milton and I are living the good life here in Minnesota after 2 years of a pretty poor life down in Alabama.

For the first time ever, I am experiencing love, safety, and honestly just being a dog. I find that I am loving the simple things in life--nice soft grass! Yep, you wouldn't believe how I just love running around the yard and just playing!

I must say I am a pretty darn good walker as well. I picked up on that very quickly! I get excited if a see a little critter but who can blame me!

My foster mom kinda laughs when I always have to watch where she goes. I like to think that I'm her protector. If she goes upstairs, yep I follow her up. If she walks out to get the mail, yep I stare out the window. I just like to know where she is.

My foster family says I do great when they have to go to work so lately I haven't been in the kennel. I just wait for them to come home mostly just sleeping. I sleep on my doggy bed next to the big bed at night.

The good people at Warrior Dog think it's best if my buddy Milton and I are adopted together. If you are looking for 2 big 82 pounders that will give you never ending love then we are the dogs for you! Please give us that chance!

Melvin is heartworm positive and is awaiting a negative test result. His treatment has been completed but he is not due for his retest yet. He will need a microfilaria test one month after treatment. Once he has a negative microfilaria test, he will not need to be on exercise restrictions. All medical needs will be the responsibility of the adoptive family.
--------------------------------------------
All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

Total Adoption Fee - $600 for Melvin and Milton - Bonded Pair

To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/
