Meet Mr. Mellow!<br/><br/>Mellow's name might make you think he is calm and...well...mellow. But truthfully? He's a brindle whirlwind of wiggles, smooches, and slobber. He has been at FDHS for several months now, and honestly, we can't figure out why this sweet boy hasn't yet found a forever family. He's stolen the hearts of every staff member and volunteer he meets, and he just wants someone to love and be loved by.<br/><br/>Mellow is can go from a track star one moment and a lazy nap champion the next. This boy literally lives for the sunshine and summer! He absolutely adored his puppy pool and was often found splashing, wading, or just lounging like he might secretly be part mermaid. With winter coming and Mellow STILL being here, he's starting to get pretty bummed out. He truly thrives on attention, affection, and adventures of all kinds.<br/><br/>He does best with slower introductions to other dogs. Some of the more energetic pups at the shelter can overwhelm him, but he is curious about calmer dogs and would likely enjoy having a dog friend to build confidence with. He hasn't been tested with cats here at the shelter, but we were told by his previous family that he did well with them. Mellow would also do best in a home with older kids or adults and a fenced yard or daily play sessions to help him burn off all his puppy energy.<br/><br/>Mellow has so much love to give, and he is ready to share it with a person of his own. <br/><br/><br/>**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 50 lbs**
