Melanie.<br/><br/>This nearly five-month-old Cocker Spaniel mix came to us as a breeder surrender. We assume she didn't develop the coat they wanted, although maybe she's just a late bloomer. Or maybe she's simply a soft, short-coated little girl. Either way, we think she's pretty adorable exactly as she is.<br/><br/>Melanie is still working hard on her puppy skills. Potty training is a work in progress, and she'll get there. Crate training has been a little more challenging, but we've discovered that if her crate is covered, she's happy to settle in and sleep.<br/><br/>Melanie has come a long way in the short time she's been with us. We don't think she had much training before she arrived, so she's a little behind some of our pups her age.
