Melanie's Story
🐾Meet Melanie🐾

Melanie is an 8 month old Lab mix and she is ready to find her furever family!

Melanie is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, prevention, is microchipped, and is spayed. She is ready to go home with you! This poor girl came to us from Evansville Animal Care & Control (Official) where she was found with a deep laceration to her neck. Paired with her strong fear of men, we think Melanie has been through far too much in her short life. She does great with all women though and has really started to come out of her shell and show how goofy, silly, and happy she can be! She is affectionate and would love to be someone's best friend. Her future is so much brighter than when she first arrived, in pain and shut down. Now she just needs a family to spend the rest of her life with! UPDATE: Melanie is starting to get a lot more comfortable with men, and even has some that she adores! She'll just need time and understanding as she continues to work through her fear and uncertainty towards men.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application on our website. Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received. We are open Wed-Thu 12-7 and Fri-Sun 12-4 if you'd like to come visit!

Photos by Mariah McClain Photography
