Meg's Story
Meg is a petite 24 lb, red and white, smooth-coat girl looking for adventures. She is about 7 months old (as of 10/23/25) and was an owner-surrender so we know she is a Purebred Border Collie. She may fill in a little more, but she should remain under 30 lbs at full weight. Being petite and smooth coat Meg is easy to transport and clean!

Meg loves walks and is usually seen carrying a pinecone in her mouth or splashing in water. She walks well on leash, is completely housebroken, crate trained, entertains herself with toys, and has already been started on some basic obedience (sit, down). She definitely could have off-leash potential with additional training. Meg is content with a walk or off-leash play time each day and enjoys her training sessions as well. She is still learning about the world and can be shy in new situations, but LOVES people and other dogs. She is a snuggle bug, especially in the evenings.

Meg also loves playing with other dogs, so we think she would do best with another confident male dog in the house. She can be picky with female dogs, so those interactions should be introduced slowly. Meg could potentially live with dog saavy cats given a careful and slow introduction. We recommend children over the age of 12 since she can be nippy in play and still jumps when she is excited.

Due to our small volunteer team, we can’t respond to inquiries to this listing.
