Meeka's Story

Meet Meeka, a sweet and healthy 55-pound senior girl with a heart full of love and the perfect mix of pep and relaxation. She may be a senior, but don't let that fool you--Meeka loves her tennis balls and actually plays fetch! A daily walk or a few rounds of fetch are all she needs to stay happy and content. When playtime's done, she's ready to curl up beside you for some serious snuggle time.

Meeka is wonderfully low-maintenance--crate and potty trained, happy to chew on her toys, and always gentle and kind. She enjoys a calm home and can be a bit selective with her dog friends, so we do proper introductions at meet and greets to find her perfect match. Or a home where she is the only pet and gets all the attention. Sweet doesn't even begin to cover it--Meeka truly is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet.Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas. We require an approved adoption application on file before scheduling meets with our dogs. You can find the application here (www.bigpawsozarks.org/adoption-application). Please email info@bigpawsoftheozarks.org if you have specific questions about an available dog.

Big Paws of the Ozarks's Adoption Policy
All adopters must fill out an application on our website with all necessary information. From there, our staff will conduct a phone interview and answer any questions regarding the dog or the adoption process. Once approved, a meet and greet is scheduled with the family, dog, and dog's foster family. This is the time where other pets can be introduced. If the meet and greet goes well, we can send the dog in a trial adoption for a few days to make sure it is a perfect fit for everyone. From there the adoption is finalized through payment of the adoption fee and transferring of vet records.
