Meeka is a gorgeous petite German Shepherd girl who weighs about 57lbs - she is a small gal! She has incredible soft fur to the touch and is a beautiful brown eyed girl. She is 5-6 years old and has lots of companionship still to give.<br/><br/>Meeka is an owner surrender from a family who had no time for her and wanted her to be adopted and loved forever. She is incredibly sweet and deserves lots of attention. She has a heart of gold and is so forgiving. Meeka is a tad shy but we hope she will be treated like a Queen and have a plush bed and nice walks!<br/><br/>Meeka is a sensitive girl and we have noticed that changes around her are unsettling to her and she may turn tight circles and bark - it's like her mind shuts out any changes. We have learned that you can snap her out of this by throwing the ball for her or giving her a stuffy that she loves to carry around gently. Most people will move on to the next dog at this point but if you are still here, you have the opportunity to adopt this girl with a heart of gold!<br/><br/>Meeka’s temperament is very calm in the house and low to medium energy while outside, except when she is playing FETCH, her favorite pastime in the world! Meeka LOVES to play soccer - she is great at it but sometimes she is a ball hog! She can play ball for hours!<br/><br/>She is sweet and friendly with everyone. When she bonds, she is extremely loyal and comforting and likes to stay close to you and loves to cuddle on the couch. She is EXTREMELY gentle! She even takes her food from her bowl or treats from your fingers so softly and gently. Meeka is wonderful and non-reactive with all other dogs - nobody fazes her! <br/><br/>Meeka is comfortable at the ranch where our Rescue is housing her. She walks well on the leash and does great on car rides. She enjoys her strolls side by side with another dog near ponds, on pastures and walkways. We have not cat tested her but she doesn't seem to have prey drive so she may do fine with them with a bit of coaching.<br/><br/>She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. <br/><br/>She is house trained and does not need a crate. She likes to be pampered and groomed.<br/><br/>Meeka is being fostered in TX and can be brought to PA on transport.
