Meatball's Story

Meatball
4 mos, Male, 28 lbs. (and growing)
Herding mix (best guess)
PERSONALITY: He is a sweet boy who loves to cuddle but is also rambunctious and playful
LIKES: Playing with toys of all kinds, wrestling and playing with his sister and other dogs in foster home, puppy bones, socks, laying in the sun and exploring the backyard, cuddling, food and treats, trying to catch the broom when the humans are cleaning house

DISLIKES: Being contained (and he will tell you about it!)

POTTY TRAINING: Meatball does well seeking out a potty pad in the house and does well when taken outside on a regular schedule. Ongoing process.

CRATE TRAINING: See DISLIKES. He doesn't like to be in a kennel. He sleeps in a kennel at nighttime and spends about 4 hours a day in it at his foster home. He is very vocal and will whine for a while before finally settling down. When he hears you starting to wake up in the morning, he starts to whine and cry again, letting you know he's ready to come out.

OTHER/MISC: He's a little bit timid when meeting new people or dogs but that goes away quickly. MEATBALL is very smart and already learning basic commands like sit and wait. He loves to cuddle on your lap or nearby when tired, likes to be picked up and held. He will also happily find a dog bed to snooze in as well. He likes to be where the action is and see what's going on. Will likely be a medium sized dog and happy to go anywhere or do anything with his people. He needs an active home with regular walks and will benefit from Puppy classes and obedience training to make sure he grows to be the best dog he can be. Medium to high energy.

To further inquire about MEATBALL, submit an online application via our website.
https://wigglytails.org
Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how MEATBALL will mesh with your lifestyle.
