MEADOW's Story

Meet Miss Meadow! She's one of our shelter staff's favorites because she has such a sweet and lovable personality. If you're looking for a easy going, mosey walking kind of gal then 6 year old Meadow may be the dog for you. She currently weighs 80 lbs and she goes out with our voluteers to tour the town. Here is what a volunteer said after one of her recent outting: Several people said they thought she’d be a wonderful companion for a family. There were some other dogs in the mall, and Meadow watched them carefully at a comfortable distance. She seemed considerably less dog-reactive at the mall than in the shelter environment. After a couple of hours at the mall, we hopped back into the car and went to the SF river for a short walk. Meadow didn’t display her typical shelter walk behavior (that includes many stalls and somewhat forceful pulls to whatever she wants to sniff). Instead, she was eager to go with the flow and follow my lead. I truly believe that if more people had the chance to know Meadow outside of the shelter, she’d find her family! I think she would also thrive with a foster Meadow is currently resting in foster. If you would like to meet her, please email New Hope at newhope@sfhumanesociety.org Thank you! Meadow's adoption fee has been paid for by a special volunteer. She has been spayed and microchiped and has age appropriate vaccinations. A licensing fee may apply.
