Meadow's Story

Hi there... I’m Meadow. I’m a 3 year old girl with a gentle heart who’s still learning that the world can be a safe place. I can be pretty nervous at first, so I’m hoping to find a quiet, patient family that will give me the time, structure, and stability I need to feel comfortable. Once I know I’m safe, I promise to be a very loyal, snuggly, loving companion. I've also lived with kitties before, but never with dogs. So if you have a canine friend, I would have to meet them first. Because I can get overwhelmed, I’d do best in a home with kiddos 13+ who understand that I just need a little extra kindness and patience while I blossom. Please come meet me to see if we're a paw-some match at APF between 12-4, Tuesday-Saturday!!!

Animal Protective Foundation's Adoption Policy
Our dedicated staff and volunteers will help you find the perfect match. Browse the animals online first, or just stop in during our shelter hours. Your first step to adopting a pet is to complete an adoption questionnaire available at the shelter. A FEW THINGS TO KNOW: You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt without a parent or guardian. Bring a form of identification with current address, such as a driver’s license. If renting property or living with a parent, you will be asked to provide proof that pets are allowed. We will contact the homeowner for verification. Once a staff member has reviewed your adopter questionnaire, you can spend some time with the animals. Pets are an important part of the family, so if at all possible, all family members should be part of the process. If you are looking to add an additional dog, we ask you to bring your dog to the shelter to meet the new canine companion. This may requ
