He was then adopted last June and then recently returned sadly because his owner went into the hospital. Mayo is curious and enjoys leisurely strolls. He has a sweet endearing face and likes to play with toys. His flip flop ears are his trademark as he can only hear out of one. He weighs 17lbs. Senior Dog Sanctuary of Maryland's Adoption Policy
Why adopt a Senior Dog? Experienced, housebroken, settled down, loving and lovable, good with children, excellent company, non-judgemental - we could go on but you get the picture. Exceptions to everything listed? Sure, but all in all an experience you will never regret. First, come visit the dogs that interest you; we are open, by appointment, every day of the week from 10-3. Then complete our Adoption Application, which asks for personal references, your animals' Vet, information about your home environment and your agreement to allow us to do a home visit. Once approved, we will do a meet and greet with your family - including your four-legged family members. If all goes well, you welcome your pup into your home and your heart and you all become members of our extended Senior Dog Sanctuary family!
