Meet Maye! This sweet, smart, social love is a 3.5-month-old, 20 pound, labrador retriever mix who is ready to find her forever family. Maye is a very affectionate puppy that loves her time with her people. She is playful- especially with our two dogs. After a round of chase in the backyard, they will head inside for some wrestling- which is always followed by a nap. Maye will happily cuddle up in her people's laps, or with our other dogs on their dog beds, or with a chew toy as she lounges in her crate. <br/><br/>Maye would be perfect for a range of people- single, a couple. or a family with kids- and a range of living situations- apartment, townhouse, single family home...urban, suburban, or rural.<br/><br/>Maye is very smart and catches onto routines quickly and easily. She is house trained (the rare pee accident) and crate trained at night. She enjoys crate time throughout the day, but she also has a gated 2 room area where she is trusted to be alone (with another dog) for an hour and a half at a time.<br/><br/>Maye is a real champ when it comes to potty training. She goes to the door and whines to let us know that she needs to go outside. She is still very young, so her forever family would need to teach Maye the routines in their home and continue to be consistent with her potty routine.<br/><br/>At night, Maye sleeps in a crate. Over the past three weeks, Maye has been able to sleep longer and longer before waking to potty. She is currently sleeping from 9pm until around 5am. If you take her outside to potty and are not quite ready to start the day, she will happily join you for some more bed rest.<br/><br/>Maye is eager to explore the world around her, but a fenced yard (visible or invisible) is not required. Although she currently enjoys time playing in our backyard, she also enjoys sniffing and exploring the neighborhood on her daily walks. Maye does well on a leash, and since she is petite, it's easy for children and adults to enjoy taking her on a walk. <br/><br/>Maye has had exposure to children and done well.
