Meet Maybel! <br/><br/>Maybel is a 3-year-old, ~60 lb bundle of affection and kindness who’s ready to find her person. She’s a gentle soul—slightly skittish at first, but already showing how workable and brave she is with a little patience and encouragement. Once she trusts you, she’s all in: think the best kisses, constant companionship, and a dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side for hugs, cuddles, and love.<br/><br/>She’s not much for toys, but she lives to run! Maybel has a great foundation for leash walking and jogging, already leashes easily, knows sit and down, and continues to improve with consistent training. Street traffic can make her anxious, but she muscles through and settles into beautiful, calm walks—especially in the park. A fenced yard would be a bonus, but her dream home includes a runner, hiker, or active family excited to help her build confidence and explore the world together.<br/><br/>Maybel is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, crate and house trained, and shows calm excitement around other dogs. She loves all people. Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. <br/><br/>Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. <br/><br/>Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.<br/><br/>Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
