Maybelle is available for adoption in the PNW! She just arrived in the Seattle area and is in a foster home ready for meet and greets. <br/><br/>Maybelle has been recuperating from severe neglect by her previous owners and has successfully regained her health and has completed all necessary veterinary care. We are now seeking a special family to provide her with a loving home. <br/>Maybelle is a 25-30 pound mixed-breed dog and about 18 months old. She is crate trained but she'd enjoy being with her people more often than not. Part of her abuse included spending days sitting in a crate in her own feces. We'd love for her to have a family where she is included in her family's life. <br/><br/>Having another friendly dog in the house would greatly benefit Maybelle, as canine companionship brings her great joy. Although initially timid, she warms up quickly. It is essential that her new home includes a woman and any male family members must be patient and understanding. You can win her over though it may take some time.<br/><br/>While we have been told that Maybelle has been around children, she's not in a foster home with children currently. Gentle kids are a must (really for any dog:)<br/><br/>Maybelle is still in the process of learning and adapting to various aspects of her new life, including leash walks, potty training, and basic obedience. Her foster mother has been utilizing clicker training, which has yielded positive results. Maybelle is an extremely affectionate and loving companion and is forming strong bonds with her caregivers. She is affectionate and loves companionship. <br/><br/>Maybelle is such a doll! We are excited to see where life takes her!
