Maxx's Story

Maxx is a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and a resilient spirit.

Maxx came to us from a hoarding situation where he was extremely underweight and dealing with an IBD flare-up. With proper care, good food, and lots of love, this little guy has made wonderful progress and is now a happy, thriving pup. To keep him feeling his best, Maxx does best on a simple, bland diet and may need a steroid twice a week long-term—but he's currently doing great on his treatment plan!

Maxx is potty trained and also knows how to use potty pads if needed. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. Because he's a bit sensitive to lots of fast movement and noise, Maxx would do best in a calm home without young children. Kids 12 and older who understand how to be gentle with a smaller pup would likely be just fine.

This sweet boy is looking for a relaxed, loving home where he can truly shine—somewhere he can lounge with his people, enjoy a few leisurely walks, and be a cherished part of a mellow household. If you're looking for a loyal little companion with a gentle soul, Maxx might just be your perfect match.

Thank you for wanting to adopt from Hank's Legacy Foundation.
